Photographer’s Note

Situated in the Murramarang National Park, north of Batemans Bay, the Pebbly Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of New South Wales. A wide strip of sand separates the thick tall forest from the dark blue ocean. The most exotic attraction of the beach is the kangaroo population. They don’t really like the extreme heat of the Australian summer, so during the day they hide in the bushes but while the sun sets they come out to say hello to the people that are leaving home after a relaxing day on the beach. They are really tame animals, being used with the presence of humans. They like to be pet and they go wild for picnics, being used to be feed by the Sunday tourists (although, giving them food is not recommended, they might get sick..). Hundreds of parrots of all the colors of the rainbow are animating the heavenly landscape making you want to never leave this amazing place…
