Sandy beach south of Budgewoi with some clumps of vegetation and Tasman Sea as the background. A classical coastal scenery, here still unspoilt by the development and therefore evoking the feelings of an undiscovered natural land.
The usual way of arrival to Australia was in the past, obviously, with a steamer or sailing ship via the ocean. Therefore, I selected this photo showing a ship, albeit a modern one, arriving (or maybe departing) as an appropriate introduction to a series about my recent visit to the "Fifth Continent".
