Australia's Blue Mountains have plenty of flora & fauna to explore, plus geological interest like Govett's Leap. And located about 50 kilometers from Sydney.
The name Blue Mountains probably comes from 'mie scattering' a blue atmospheric tinge caused by incoming ultraviolet particles scattering. The abundant eucalyptus trees may emit 'volatile terpenoids' contriubuting to the mie scattering.

I have been to the Blue Mountains many times and each time I marvel at the surroundings. This I know was where the Woolemi Pine was discovered after it was thought it had been extinct for a million years. My daughter was part of a team who worked on the cultivation programme.Happy times. T.F.S.

Hi Ray, Haha, I was also there, it means in Blue Mountains. I went the way with thousands steps down then I went by different cable cars. Beautiful view of the waterfall. The forest is fantastic there. Impressive high rocks.

This picture was taken almost decade ago. The quality of the photo is pretty good. The waterfalls softens the tone of the picture. I like it.

hehehehe how weird is that? Even in the thumbnail I knew this was Aus. Maybe it was the gumtrees. Maybe the rock formations. Maybe cos I was at Govett's Leap only about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, a delightful shot, you were lucky to get the waterfall too, as it has been a rare sight during the drought. Also good that you got off the beaten, away from the usual "Three Sisters and that's it tour".
Cheers and a happy day to you

now that is what I call a cliff! Very steep rocks could spin someone's head. I very much like the narrow waterfall in the corner which adds so much beauty to this place and also makes it more subtle. Fine framing and well given colors.
