I took this photo on a dreary day (hence no sky)a couple of years back, and I thought it was appropriate to post today when everyone would be taking part at War Memorials all over the country.
This is a very peaceful beautiful building, where even the flowers are just plain white. The two long corridors on the left and right of the picture have on the walls ,thousands of names of the men killed in the wars.Beside the names are thousands of poppies.
Inside the central part of the picture lies the tomb of `The Unknown Soldier`.A very humbling building.

I like the symmetrical composition and the presence of the people who help provide scale. Just a slight pity the couple entering from the left are not a bit more into the frame. The subject suits the day very well.

A fine shot and a perfect one to post at this time of Remembrance.
I agree that the sky is overly white and uninteresting but there really is very little you could have done about that. I like the detail and sharpness and the subdued colours which are nicely broken by the man in the red shirt appearing from the left. Good composition and nice water reflections.
