This is a fragment from "On the bus" a true story of life down under by Christina Boufis.
"To those in the Northern Himisphere, Australia has always been the place where things are upside-down: the water runs down the facet in a clockwise direction; it is cold and wintry in mid-August when it is hot and steamy back home; the night sky is dominated not by the customary lights of the Big Dipper, but by the unfamiliar stars of the Southern Cross; and the swans are jet black, not white."

Not easy to shoot a photo of bright water surface, good lighting and exposure, very nice the water surface reflect the color of blue sky, good capture to a swiming swan, distinct image, well done.

this is a wonderful presentation of this rare bird; and the composition is excellent. You captured the creature in a decisive momemt! I also like the nicely contrasting colors. My compliments!

Very beautiful view of this elegant bird! The square format goes very well with the composition of the image. Bravo!
I like your note, because I noticed these differences between North and South. Did you notice about the moon? When it is crescent, it is like a 'C' in Southern Hemisphere and inverted in Northern Hemisphere... ;-)
Thanks for sharing,
