A Shattered World
Bisti Wilderness Area, near Farmington, New Mexico, USA
(Yet) another shot from the Bisti Wilderness Area - check the theme for more!
This one's a little bit of a random snapshot to be honest - but sometimes a random snap captures the real flavour of an area better than a careful "what to include, what to exclude" composition.

Colin: great idea for your frame here - gives a real sense of density to your image. Details are keen: accurate sharpness and polarized light make it a winner. regards, c
As your note suggests, sometimes even the more casually composed shot makes an impression. I do like the negative space created by the deep shadows of the lower left. Ir makes the scene more dramatic.

It's a good looking snapshot showing the general area and it's geology. Not sure why there isn't more comment, Sure, it's not spetacular but very well worth shot. I like strong light make strong shadow with make it hard to control the light, but the detail in the light is great, the shadow is a bit strong, but that hard to avoid in such light condition, good composition, this time your even manage to include a little more sky. Thanks Colin.
