[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Location

This is taken by a small stream that runs along the road very near to Onekema, Michigan. All of this region of the State is characterized by large swathes of wooded swampland and it blooms with life in springtime. These flowers are Cowslips but more commonly referred to as Marsh Marigolds by "Michiganders".


The Image

This image represents a large part of the rest of the State of Michigan I know and love - that is aside from the beaches and lakeshore. I am always amazed at the tenacity of plant like this that can actually take root and grow in an area of moving water like this.

I love these flowers.Great shot with this nice arrangement in the foreground.The image has a good deepth with the many yellow dots and this old trunk in the distance.

This really is a great shot. I love the sharpness and contrast of yellow, green and the water. Lovely shot.

A picturesque scenery, where the lovely yellow flowers dominate the scene!
