Umbrella, ella, ella . . .

One more of these umbrella and Empire State Building shots for good measure -- rule of threes or something . . . .

Get your brollie while there's time,
the drops are dropping in this humid clime,
your hair will frizz, you'll be all a diz,
in this fog, your muddy slog . . .
the way you is . . .
even the dogs, buddy,
won't spare you a dime.

So good and clever!!!
This is an amazing shot. The reflection is GREAT as are the tones.
Love your composition - well done.
Deb ;o)

Interesting picture. Very moody...good choice to have rotated it in order to focus on the man. I find there is too much noise. Have you added grain? I have post a workshop with noise reduction and black and white. Tell me what you think.
TFS.
Best regards.
Samuel

Hi, Hugh.
I think is my favorite of this serie...
Old sepia atmosphere and silhouette opening umbrella is beautiful.
Good work, full of mood.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Excellent compo ! I like the reflected city. Original and effective.

Andreea

hello Hugh,

the rain does not give you a bad mood ;)
happily for us, so you bring us wonderfull photos. i like the b&w more , and the increase of contrast works very well. looking forward to see more ;)
greetings, inn

What a brilliant image, Hugh! I had missed it all this time...a poetry in image-making. Fantastic juxtaposition in reflections, and equally phenomenal tonal treatment. Bravo!
