This is pretty much the reverse of Self Portrait with Fried Bacon. The foreground and background monoliths being switched.

There is a small theme of photos from this area.

Salam Colin,
What a wonderful place!..great compo n good use of B&W ..tfs

Regards, Atousa

hello Colin,

The B&W is perfect for this kind of scene! Perfect land scape for gorgeous shots! I'm asking myself how the stones are still holding!

Have a great sunday!

Excellent B&W, Colin.
This is a location I've only heard of, but it reminds me a lot of the "Toadstools" area north of Lake Powell, on 89 hwy driving up to Kanab.
Light and contrast are spot on, great framing and overall definition.
Have a nice weekend, see ya around.
Fulvio.

Hi Colin

another place i have yet to visit, lovely light hitting the strange shaped rocks, nice composition and a beautiful B&W.

Regards
Derek

this is a superb landscape shot
perhaps one of the best I've ever seen
you have immense control over light & shade
well done

Hi Colin,
this is an interesting shot, well composed, of an amazing landscape.
Also in Italy, in Trentino Alto Adige country, there are natural phenomenones like this.
Ciao
Ludo

lovely black and white photo- as if the formations were out of this world. nice capture. tfs

Hello Colin. Expression-strong art in black-and-white with the camera. Pictures of this kind one does not see each day. Developed a professional photo in the style of the old masters. Light, shade, grey values etc. are exemplary. Impressing. Best regards, Wolfgang.
