Photographer’s Note
“Cooking” is the name of this photograph. Preparing food for a group of soldiers was no easy task as you can tell by the expression on the lady to the right. They are presently preparing oatmeal in the iron pot.
I am going to start a theme of military history and this is the first photograph. These women cooked for soldiers of the eighteenth century at their training camps and of course the soldiers ate like horses. Unfortunately there were no dishwashers and these ladies were extremely hard to prepare food and then cleanup.
This photograph was taken today with a humidity index of 31°C.
This photograph was cropped, Level adjusted, Sharpened In lab color U. S. M. 75, 2, 1, and saved for the web.

A very good picture of our history, I like the old St. John's in the background.
