A wonderful photograph. Brilliant lighting. Exceptional use of B/W.

hello Animesh,

I like the strong contrast and the great atmosphere you created here. great photo
greetings, inn

hi animesh,
i must say i like this - on one hand a simple, everyday scene (all right, with some extraordinary solemness of wineing out) but with this high contrast blacks and whites it is really somethng special...actually i cannot figure out where this line goes between mothers and gaughters (or rather - one has to look really carefully to spot it)...
best wishes, j.

the choice of the b&w is the perfect one... I don't think it would have worked in colors... it gives something very elegant, stylish to the scene... a simple scene you convert into a photo art : )

This is very strong, Animesh, not in an "in your face" kind of way but rather more subtly, allowing the SIMILARITIES among those ladies to morph into DIFFERENCES.
QUite brilliant, if truth be told.
I cannot tell you how much I admire your refusal to go for tricks or any shortcuts to tell your stories. For those of us who appreciate it and get it, it is a daily delight...

I like the high contrast here, Animesh, it removes irrelevant context and puts the emphasis on the relationships among the women. Everything about their body language is relaxed and casual--they are comfortable around each other, comfortable sharing some wine and talk. They seem locked in on each other, in pairs, which emphasizes their closeness. Excellent stuff! Regards, Ken.

The mothers look so young.....I also cant tell the difference, thats great news for the mothers:) Nice high contrast work Animesh

Hello Animesh,
Some picture don't have to be technically superb to attract the eye, and this one has many problems. But it simply cannot simply spoil the visual quality of the picture, and I think it is a great one you achieved. One that could be shown as the best work of a master. Friendly regards - Izzet

Hi Animesh

Very sharp with good detail and what contrasts. Great lighting.
What a scene you have set here. Well done.
