Photographer’s Note
This picture taken while hiking the Sierra Crest Trail (John Muir Trail) in late July, early August. Taken above 11K' (3100 M) elevation looking South/SouthWest in late morning, so lighting was extremely harsh but I wanted to try and capture the mix of desolation with these small areas of verdant growth that we would pass through.
