Tohopekaliga Sunrise Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a picture of the sun rising over East lake Tohopekaliga (pronounced: toe-hoe-puh-ka-lie-ga)that I took yesterday morning, while out walking with my son. It was a great way to start the day! Central Florida has a LOT more going for her than theme parks!

I sharpened the picture a little, but that's it for alterations.

Nice sky colors and the reflection in the lake is good. The sun however is blown out.

Great colors John! The composition is great and the backlight gives great silhouettes here. The water reflexions from the sun is great too but what i love most is the colors on the sky, they are wonderful! Maybe the sun could be a less overexposed...anyway a good shot... and a big welcome to TE!

Hi John,

These are shot I dream to take and you got it for me. First, it is nicely exposed and secondly, you can see the ripples on the water clearly and the other stray clouds in the sky. Wished I have my camera with me all the time.

Love the shot, I am native to this area, East and West Lake Toho, so, I certainly appreciate what you were able to capture here. Beautiful job!! Amazing colors and composition.
