Photographer’s Note
Built in the gothic style of Mount Airy granite, it contains interior decorations made of imported Carrara marble. It's the fifth church built on the site. Following a fire in 1897, the building was dedicated in 1905. Since its beginning, St. Paul's has been located at the corner of Washington and High streets in Olde Towne Portsmouth. It was established as an independent parish in 1824.
