Photographer’s Note

I took this shot in the middle of the day just walking around this little town. This is one of 2-3 large churches and is pretty close to the main bus station and to one of the 2 markets (not the touristy/souvenir one).

This town was the center of the Zapatista revolt in 1994 that went through Chiapas state, and the confrontation between the Mexican military and the fighters that involved some bloodshed. There is a highly reccomended documentary of those events in the little movie theatre of the town... if anyone ever comes by there.

Very nice image --the colors and the clouds are quite remarkable. But I wonder if the photo would be improved by rotating a bit to the left to straighten out the lines. Maybe, maybe not. And I know some people like to have the image speak for itself, but a quick note on where and what you're showing us would be helpful! :-)

Remarkable color in this shot. The colors of the building perfectly mirror the bright cloudy sky. I agree with Herbert's comment about straightening the shot and attempted a WS to modify the perspective. An informative note would be helpful also, but I like your shot regardless.

hi roy,
this is quite interesting,nearly duotone of blue and white.but I like it,very nice toning.too much shadows ,but they're ok.

I think this church is an example of that rare occasion, when such a building makes a connection with the heaven in a visual sense, too. I find very interesting the harmony of colors between it and the backgound. Nice picture, compliments!

blue rules. it's not really the perfect time of the day to take this photo but i am not complaining, i know you have a lot of nice places to go to after this one.
