Photographer’s Note
I was on the 36th floor of the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain hotel, attending an educational conference, watching a presentation by TrekEarth's very own Brigitte Gemme (gemme), when I noticed the room had a good view of the St. Lawrence River and Habitat '67. Brigitte gave a very good speech, by the way.
Habitat '67 is a prefab community, originally built as part of the 1967 Montreal World Exhibition. There are 354 modules, which (when joined) created 158 homes, some small (600 square feet), some fairly large (1700 square feet).
The afternoon was grey and overcast, and there was a slight dusty haze on the window, so the image is a little grainy. I did some masking and adjusting of levels to try to make it a little brighter and better defined, then did a final level adjustment in Photoshop, and sharpened and resized it before uploading.

Hi Michael
The white building in front is an eyesore, lighting conditions are bad ... but I still like this photo anyways.
I had'nt heard about Habitat 67 before, looks like a cool place ... thanks for introducing me to this place ... I think I am going to try to visit this place when I come to Mtl next time
It could have been a really nice shot with good evening light or something
ciao
