Photographer’s Note
This is another shot from Arches National Park as we wind down my series from here. The arch on the left is the North Window and the one on the right would be the South Window. The North Window is 51ft (15.5m) high and 93ft (28.3m)wide, and the South Window is 66ft (20.1m) high and 105ft (32m) wide. You can get a sense for how large these are by seeing the specks of people on the left side.
On a geologic note I thought I would explain the difference between an arch and a natural bridge. An arch is formed by erosion of wind, rain, or by ice expanding in cracks during winter. A natural bridge is undercut and formed by a stream or river.
This was shot in very late afternoon with plenty of heat to go with the hike.

Those are not regular windows, those are windows with scenery view. The cloud beyond the window makes this picture more attractive. Great POV.

Beautiful picture of the Windows! I like the clouds trough the arch. How many people are there in September!
Thanks for share.

HI Stephen,
a beautiful wider view showing the same qualities as your previous posts but allowing to better appreciate the surroundings, definitely a beautiful place. Taking a closer look at the left arch, it seems the place is quite successful as well and thus heavily touristed !
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi stephen,
Another great view on this wonderful rocks, the proportion between the rocks and the people is formidable great, the rock in the middle is exactly a snout of a animal.
Well seen!
John.

Bonjour Stephen,
Very well done.
Amitiés.

You must have filled some Gigabyte with pictures of this region. And with justice. They are all great. At this picture I like especially the very tiny little spots that must be impressed tourists.

Nice entry for your Arches series, Stephen. Once again the colors and textures offered by the unique formations are a delight to see, and make a wonderful photo subject. Beautiful color contrast with the greenery emerging from the reddish ground. Good choice with the panoramic cropping. I appreciate the fully natural look and feel of this a lot.

Splendid colors, Stephen. Great view here Oh, you call "them" windows. Yes, I can see those people there giving scale for those beautiful nature forms. Thank you also for explanations in your note. Wonderful image.

It's great in your themes and a natural way of nature and you of showing to "TE" great quality pictures and beauty!
You got the 2 "Arches" in one in your great composition. Great quality photo from your beggining and a mutual must for us and the "TE" mamnbers. My sincerally modesty to your wild, impressive and way to show moments and places that are difficult to show in their natural life.
Excelent and thanks for sharing your cultural knowledge and way of thinking life!

Steven, I see you keep them coming. I like the panoramic framing from this one because it minimizes the sjy included. Once again perfect colors.

beautiful panoramic shot, and very rich in composition.
from the trees and the bushes or as you mention the humans, one can appreciate the vastness and grandness of the boulders and arches.
I have done a workshop on this, with a different perspective. I hope you like it.

Behrang

A cor do ceu e as texturas são fantasticas. Gosto muito desse trabalho.
