Photographer’s Note

Streetsville United Church was established as the Methodist Church for Streetsville in 1820 and joining the United Church in the union of 1927. Streetsville United Church has grown with the Streetsville community to remain a vital contributor to the spiritual renewal of its membership.
The present sanctuary was dedicated in 1876 with additions coming in 1951 (offices) and 1964 (Christian Education wing to which an elevator was added in 1984). Major renovations occurred in the 1992-1994 period to repair several problems; in the spring of 2003 a new 'digital pipe' organ was installed in the sanctuary.
Canada is a young country, was born in 1863. No wonder why we don’t have monuments from past centuries like for example a Europe.

Rien ne pouvait me faire plus plaisir que cette prise de vue.
Vous connaissez mon attachement à l'architecture religieuse.
Vous me prenez par les sentiments et vous en remercie.
Les murs en briques rouges ressortent bien sur ce ciel gris/bleu. Intéressante architecture du dix-neuvième siècle. C'est amusant, car l'on retrouve certaines caractéristiques des églises du 13ème siècle (corps principal avec les contreforts).

Hi Ziggy,

I don't really like architecture picture, but i must say that's this church is quite interesting.
Always the good frozen style, tre red colors are attracitve.

Very good point of colors, that orange of the church make pleasure for my eyes.Excelent sharpness, and image details, and the frame fit perfectly with image colors.Excelent again.

Nice photo of this Church Ziggy, very nice light and excellent point of view to present this old Church. To bad for the sighs, but at least you had the chance to composed without electric wire and post as it's very common around here, good work.

i recognise this!! :) nice shot Ziggy, the colours show up really well! did you adjust the contrast or red saturation here? good smooth sky too... but i think a darker red frame would look better here and bring out those red shades even more.

This is wonderful Ziggy ,i like the special lighteffect and the beautiful texture of this Church .Excellent shooting angle you took it with a good perspective .Very good composition and a good contrast too .Excellent

A very satisfying architectural shot, Ziggy. The rich tones of the church are not oversaturated, but natural looking. Very well done.
