Photographer's Note

Another one of my "discoveries" over the weekend while looking through some files I had already archived. This one was take over 2 years ago at J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island. I say "another discovery" because yesterday I submitted an image of a reddish heron also taken back in 2010.

Taken with a Canon 400mm f2.8 lens and 2x teleconverter on a beautiful winter afternoon in southwest Florida.

Hello Gregory,
This has been very well caught. The fast shutter speed has given sharpness where it matters in the eye, body and beak. The slightly blurred wing gives a wonderful feeling of movement. You have cropped and framed this superbly - excellent work.
