Photographer's Note
Waikiki Beach, Oahu island, Hawaii
It is an intersting spectacle to watch how certain hotels gradually light up their beaches as the sun sets. The sky is getting darker, but the sand and the people on it are getting lighter! Snap the photo at the right moment, and you'll end up with a unique shot like this where the ground is almost more luminous than the sky. And you got a Moon too, to boot.

OK, we got the idea George, for sunset shots we have to move to Hawaii. Darn they are so beautiful. Love this inclusion of the crescent moon. You need a a bit of NeatImage power though :)

George,
Regarding your Discussion; "Vote: fewer Sunsets" - I love a good sunset as much as any other type of photo, perhaps more. I think this photo is fantastic. The lit beach with the natural light of the sky is very well balance. Composition wise, I think it would have been improved slightly if you included all of the tallest palm tree on the left. Maybe stepping back a way and using a zoom would have helped if this was possible.
As Thien points out, the inclusion of the cresent moon is very nice. It adds a lot to the shot.
I think people will get bored of any type of photo if the photo itself is boring. If you can keep coming up with shots like this then please continue to post them. Having a theme for your photos is a good insentive. And being somewhere that produces sunsets like this and not photographing them would be a crime.
Of course I can't speak for any other members, but I like what you are doing.
Well Done!!
