Photographer’s Note
It's 2100 hours and it is still 110+ degrees F. (42 C). My wife and I were in Las Vegas for a seminar and a visit with some friends and had only one night where we could get down to Las Vegas Blvd. and capture some images. I was in front of the Flamingo Hotel, at street level, to capture this image. Las Vegas Blvd is the street from left to right while Flamingo Ave. is the cross street.

Great composition! the tall high rise buildings lead to eye up into the shot and the lights from the roadway at the bottom gives a great impression of movement and action, great work!

Hi John, it's an excellent night shot, the subject is superbly sharp and shows great night colors, the lights of the cars passing by add movement and dynamism, I like this.

Since night-time photography is a nightmare to me, I am taking this photo as a lesson.
Thanks for sharing, John.

John,
Congratualtions to this knife sharp picture. The building to the right are great, and nicely framed by a more caotic surrounding, which I in a sense would like to be without, but I don't think the picture would be the same without them. Perfect colors.

Hello John,
This picture has many assets and I'll tell ou why I like it. First you chose the great hour - " Parliement Blue " time for the shooting: Then it's well balanced, and the buildings ( Computer or no computer ) are quite straight, which I appreciate very much. Then it's a slow motion and you also hav these passing cars all around. Good shot indeed ! Izzet Keribar

Excellent shot of night ! Good framing and timing.
I see that you use Provia 100, for the shot of night, this film is very good and fine in the exposition.
Well done

Hello John
I just came back from Vegas. You've captured this large scene very well. Just prior to black hour, you've still managed the light bright enough, and with sharpness and detail.
When i was there, there was no flame lit on the statue of Liberty's flame, but you have it nicely lit.
Great compo
Well done
Craig
