Photographer’s Note
This is the interior of the National Building Museum. It is the venue of the annual public TV's Christmas in Washington D.C. program. It will also be one of the many ball sites for the inauguration of President-elect Obama. I am one of the thousands of people who submitted their names to get tickets for the inauguration ball but I doubt whether I'll get in as tickets are in high demand and will likely be reserved for those who are well connected and big-time political donors.
The National Building Museum occupies an area between 4th and 5th Streets in Wash. D.C. The building, if I remember correctly, is the biggest brick buidling in the world. It was built using 7.5 million bricks, and if these bricks were connected linearly, it would stretch from Wash D.C. to Salt Lake City in Utah. The Museum's Corinthian columns are among the largest in the world measuring 75 ft. (23 m) tall and 8 ft. (2.4 m) in diameter.

Hello Danilo,
Some guys want straight angles and correct proportions, but I'm not one of them!
In fact I often appreciate effects from from wide or narrow angles, like the 10 mm here...
Excellent details and colours, the present light in a combination of artificial and natural is well managed!
Greetings,

Hi Danilo,
stunning interior shot. The wide angle was essential to bring all those details. Distortion works very well in here. I also like the excellent exposure. Very well done!

Hi Danilo
The sigma has done a wonderful job here, having included so well the interior of the National Building Museum. Great light and colors with sharp details and a great convergence created by the lens that doesn't distract at all
Compliments and TFS

HI Danilo
All these lines and curves inlcuding the people at an angle is certainly very different, intriquing, and well done. I have to admit that I do prefer the result of the workshop Alain did.

Ciao Danilo,
a curious photo, I like the distorsion of the lens, it creates an almost unreal environment.
nice job

Hi Danilo,
An impressive building, grandiose, but elegant. You did a wonderful job presenting it, the perspective, light and clarity are amazing, specially for an interior shot. The presence of the children on the floor gives a good sense of scale, making clear how big that hall is.
Regards, José.

Hi Danilo,
WS is useful to show the natural and original feature, main posting is creative and fantastic effect to show sliding arches just like going to collapse, people playing on the floor give an idea of the size of the magnificent museum, nice golden color and distinct indoor photo, good shoot.
Wish you obtain an entry ticket.

Hi Danilo,
It is an effective and unusual shot, using a super wide angle lens to shoot the interior of the building. The vertical convergence of the vertical "parallel" lines is dramatically compressed by the lens. (It creates a dramatic "3-point convergence." Although it is effective, do you know about Nikon software that can minimize this convergence. Last year I attended an all-day Nikon School in Crystal City where I saw a demonstration.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Danilo. Wow that’s a serious wide angle shot. The extreme field of view has given this shot a dramatic perspective. Wonderful colour palette and good detail. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hello Danilo,
You chose for a vertical perspective of the colums.
The marble colums are very nice, great interior picture.
Thank you very much for your informative note.
What I really like here is a well composed picture with saturated and contrasting colours of this interior, you play very nice with shades and light
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.
