Evening in Utah Photo

Photographer’s Note

Driving in the evening in Utah. Where to find a hotel?
Somewhere near Boulder and Grand Staircase Escalante. Elevation about 2500 m.

I like the left part of the sky but have no idea what to do with the right one, it was just white. I find the lanscape here very spectacular, so I have left it so.

Olá Malgorzata, this seems like an apocalyptic scene. A gigantic explosion or other phenomenon happened in that bright sky on the right side. You are in the middle of no where, there's nothing at sight and you need a place to sleep. A very dificult capture to make but I like a lot the mood. And the landscape.

Good morning Malgorzata,

When Spain from us, we talk about USA, the legendary Route 69, so we imagine exactly this picture, with a road that continued until about any destination and dry like this and you know what your show superbly. The sky by his side photo of large complemented the way, congratulations!

Hi, Malgorzata.
A dramatic shot of a dramatic landscape. I've been on 12 Hwy, the whole way, from Bryce into Torrey, and I remember very well this spot. Probably the most spectacular highway in the USA... Great view, awesome mood, TFS!

Hi Malgorzata!

The "burned" right part of the sky is a problem here, but the left side is a great eyecatcher! Beautiful rocky formations on the lower part and the road heading to the unknown, reminding some great american "road movies". Congratulations!

Hello Malgorzata! Oh yes, we took the same road in June and I guess it is one of the most exciting places I have driven through and hard to describe to others. We drove it twice in June but both times the light was not really good but I have some decent photos. You had great evening light, just wonderful. Yeah maybe it is a little bit on the bright side on the right but filters help over these things but I never have them at hand when I need them :))) Have a nice Saturday, Barbara.

Pity about the sky being so burnt out on the righthand side, but it would have been very difficult to avoid and still keep detail in the rest of the shot. Had the red sky been across the entire image it would have been absolutely stunning. As it stands it's still a nice view. I can certainly see why the view appealed to you

Autostrada slonca :)
Fajny kadr o niesamowitym swietle. Warunki mocne i nie dalo sie uniknac niedociagniec. Ale miejsce ciekawie pokazane.

A very special landscape here and, as you say, very spectacular! The sky in the left part here is stunning, the other part has to be included to show the contrast!

you have done well to post the photo as you have captured it because the overexposure of the right part of the sky opposes well with the stupendous tonality of the left part. The desert road gives a beautiful feeling of melancholy to this suggestive sunset. Brava!

niebo z tymi kolorowymi chmurami jest fantastyczne. Ciekawy reportaz z drogi a raczej z wedrowek po Stanach. Krajobraz bardzo mi sie podoba.

Witaj Emciu,
i slusznie ze nie kobinowalas z tym niebem, wyszlo pieknie i naturalnie!! Mimo ze kolorki nieba z lewej bardzo nietypowe to po calosci zdjecia widac ze jest originalne nie tuningowane. Pejzaz rzeczywiscie spektakularny, piekna kreta droga i interesujace pagorki. Do tego jeszcze pasujaca idealnie rameczka,

This is really a remarkable landscape, so vast and empty. The last light of the day has created spectacular colours on the sky. I am glad you took your time to stop for this photo, despite being anxious to find a place to spend the night.

Jan Tobie pojechal, ale jest w tym troche racji, pod swiatlo, w ruchu, przez szybe... Co tu duzo mowic, warunki masakryczne... :)
Co do samej tresci, to faktycznie, ma swoj klimat, za gora to juz chyba koniec swiata byl co? Fajne kolorki nieba i ciekawa struktura szczytow,
