Photographer’s Note

No, the title does not refer to a shunned President finishing out his last days in office.

This is The Racetrack near Death Valley, home of the mysterious moving rocks. Unlike the rocks, the few bushes there each remain in the same spot. So far.

Hello Ken,
Very nice with the patterns of the soil on the foreground. But under and around the bush that pattern is absent. Any idea why ?
Interesting note and also a beautiful picture of the moving rocks.

Interesting place and very professional shot. The quality is good enough to see the FG with all details and also that the bush is not so lone. The centered composition looks appropriate in this case. Well done!

There's a lovely simplicity about the image which I think is created by the soft, muted colours. Beautiful composition. The extreme depth of field seems to be more commonly used for seascapes but it works extremely well here.
I'd certainly be happy to have this one hanging on my wall.

This a good, a very good representation of solitude. I like a lot your bush so sad and alone. He is thirsty. He needs water. And we? Oh, if we need love as water just for surviving! Bravissimo Ken!

Ken,
Excellent composition and really great depth with this vertical formate landscape. I like the details from the dry crusty earth to the lone mound and brush and the distant mountains. I like the light just out of the fram but still showing its strenth. Great details and texture. Very nice shot. I enjoyed it. Thanks
