Change was fast, furious and seemingly non-stop in the 1960s, a decade marked by historic figures and events whose whole was somehow even greater than the sum of its iconic parts.
And even though I was a little girl in those times I rememeber clearly well everything.
Visiting JFK Presidential library, a place completely impregnated by those years' atmosphere, it's enough to look at a window of an old shop dressed with things so familiar in those years, and soon I thought back to the events of my childhood.
Please look at the ws' too.

Hello Stella,
A nice capture of this rather antiquated looking equipment, but which is now increasingly sold at auction to people fascinated by retro. Thanks for sharing this interesting reminder of my teenage years :-)

Bonjour, mon amie Stella,

What a wonderful trip back to a better "era" (in my humble opinion)! The light in the picture is appropriate to the theme! Your workshops include one of the best photos of president JFK! Thank you for sharing! Regards Stella

Stella, I remember nearly all of your events, I even say JFK once in a parade. I will say that those times, even with all that happened, were kinder and gentler than today. I can't say I miss those days though I would like another crack at youth. Nice capture on all these "artifacts" I plan a visit here this winter. Good presentation.

Ciao Stella
A nice memory from those years. I vividly remember the 60s as I was in high school in midwest at that time, and the first time outside Greece. Everything was new and those memories still persist today
Thanks for bringing back memories from times past

Hi Stella
"Thanks for the Memories". Wasn't that a song Bob Hope used to sing? Great shot of all that memorabilia.
Cheers

Ciao Stella,
Ciao

Hi Stella,
The note is as enjoyable as the photograph. Regarding that opening line, "'If you can remember anything about the '60s, then you weren't really there,' is a generalization of a famous event from the period, Woodstock. In 1969 there was a concert that took place in Bethel, New York (State), where young people — students, young academics, street people, hippies, musicians, children... all congregated for a few days. Drugs, alcohol rampant sex all took place, and it was a defining moment of the counter-culture. They used to say about that event, "If you remember Woodstock, you weren't there." I enjoyed reading the list.
Have a good week,
Bulent

Ciao,

Hi Stella,
you wanna hear sth funny? I do remember 60's although it was a decade before I was born... It is hard to explain...but when I have a nostalgia...I have it thinking of 60's and 70's... OK...70's could be explained...my friend had a theory that if mother was listening music from 70's when she was pregnant with you...you developed a taste for music from that time. Sounds crazy? Yeah...I agree :-))) I always loved the design from that time. It feels timeless for me. Even now...its futuristic characteristics make it more advanced than from contemporary design.
Your photo is a real nostalgic treat. Love elements on photo, especially love the note. Yay for the Star Trek! :-))))))
My best,
Jeri

Buon Giorno Stella,
I was in the San Francisco Bay area when the war protests were big: we marched in the Servicemen's march for peace, got gassed in Berkeley. danced in the park, & heard Janis Joplin sing. We left the sixties believing we'd made a difference and then along came dubya. I hope Obama will be able to correct some of his destruction.

Hi Stella,
Wonderful historical time-line recorded in your lovely deco image.
I must say that the 60's will not be remembered for its for its attempt and modern design or who am I to say.
A wonderful trip down memory lane.
Regards, Tom
