Photographer’s Note

A few of my students at work... sometimes there is nothing better than a little chalk on a blackboard. I had to shrink the picture to make it fit... I hope its not too small.

Hello Daniel,

I love this shot of the six students absorbed in their algebra calculations. The one on the right, if she has the drawing as precise as it looks, appears to have created the golden rectangle, with sides 1:1.618 034... Moreover, you seem to have cropped the image in proportions demonstrating the golden ratio (which would be about 800x494 pixels). Wonderful capture.

Hi Daniel,

Original photograph, it is an evaluation of the student who will solve the problem most quickly !!! I must say that mathematics was not the matter which I appreciated more… Well done Daniel.
