Photographer’s Note
Congratulations to Mr. Obama, our president elect. Hope he will bring us changes for the better and brighter, for America and the world.
Back to the local scene, (Click on image to see large version)this is taken at Laguna Main Beach, 30 minutes from where I live. Laguna Beach includes 7 miles of coastline with some of Southern California most scenic beaches and coves you'll find along the Southern California coast. The best tide pools, diving opportunities, and best sunsets on this region of California coast are right in Laguna Beach. Home to mansions and quaint cottages that line bluffs above the sandy coves, for over 100 years, tourists have flocked to a little piece of paradise to scuba dive, to paint the colors of nature which seem more vibrant there and to enjoy natural beauty not seen elsewhere. Laguna Beach enjoys healthy tourism with over 3 million visitors each year. Note: These numbers do not factor in local day visitors within a close radius to Laguna Beach.

Hi Way!
We all hope for the best! We're all
going to very difficult times, but at
the same time at Marc said, it can't get
any worse than this! Personally, I am
not that fired up about Obama, however, he
is "the one" and should all support him.
Nice bright and beautiful day!
Regards, Maryori :)

Dear Way,
Congratulations! We hope with you!!!
A very nice and interesting photo, full of details, with good sharpness and clarity.
The american is proudly standing in the wind and I like that bird, just flying around.
Nice scene, well captured.

Hi Way, I stopped and looked around and it reminded me in some way of Lowry and his paintings, yet in the modern day. Lots of little groups of people, doing their 'thing', from all walks of life, and enjoying themselves. And then that big old tall flag!
Once upon a time it seemed that flag wasn't all emcompassing. But now it has to be, and if the test of time sees it so, then that is simply awesome. Of course Rome wasn't built in a day, but now even those that can't lift bricks seem to feel that at last they have a voice that should and could and will be heard...
But back to the local scene: You may not know but there is a tv series that comes on over here about Laguna Beach; it's full of pretty girls and spectacular sunsets! My wife watches it all the time :) I never peak oiver her shoulder! Of course I only care for the quiet coves and the isolated tide pools... however I wonder, is there any chance of a picnic on that green stretch of grass?!

This is a well composed shot giving us a nice panorama of this famous beach. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.
I am not thrilled about our new president, but he is our president and I will support him. I just hope his "change" will help everyone!

Ciao Way,
I unite me to your hopes for a best world, because the world, is formed everything from the people. If the people are good, also the world is good. Even if I believe that your first Country is Laos, I wish you that Obama is a good president for all the people that live in USA. Good image to celebrate this event, compliment!

Hi Way!
Ah, I see you too have posted a photo for the historic event! Wonderful capture with a great pov. Sharp and colorful. The weather at Laguna Beach is a bit warmer than here, I'd guess... :-)
Yes, we all hope for a better future and Senator Obama has proven that the American Dream is still alive. I pray for his safety and moral guidance.

A more than appropriate title for the photo and for this day. The long horizontal composition works well here, makes us wonder through the whole image.
Better days for the USA and for the rest of the world.

the large version has a very fine quality, good looking vivid colors
but the tilted sea is a problem... & maybe you could correct it by making a vertical correction of the photos before stitching them together, just an idea

Hello Way,
The 44th US election affected all the world, Americans thinking is really open and able to accept black skin candidate as President, hopeful to see fair in this land. Interesting composition to show the flag flying by wind, nice peaceful and relaxing beach, thanks for sharing typical view of US beach at a historical day.

Hi Way,
Indeed a day of joy and celabrations, although not all will be happy, at least it's something complete different. A younger man, maybe with more refreshing and less conservative ideas.
Your large version looks pretty good, very nice balanced and good stitching....
Have a nice day, Henk

yes, congrats to Obama, you know how I like the fact they voted him, I`m so happy!
Beautiful scene you have here, the American flag looks great and I envy you that this is 30min. from where you live. It`S quite nice here in Germany, but the winters can get pretty cold!

Hi, Way.
Let's all hope he'll be able to translate into reality the wind of change he's promising. It won't be easy, but he looks honest and committed to my eyes.
Good shot, buddy. Both from a technical as well as from a symbolic point of view. TFS!
Have a great day, my friend. I'll be seeing you.

very beautiful panoramic view. I liked the colors and the lights and the position of the vertical elements:flag, palms, building.. I would like to see another version without the building, this would be more simple and would be nice to see too. anyway this is a beautiful photo, congratulations.
