Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken on the same trip to the Southwest as my last post, but on a different day. The winter storm that threatened our safety the day before, brought only a slight amount of snow that blanketed the desert of southern Utah. It was a very surreal moment b/c only two days before, i was wearing shorts, sweating and enjoying the sun. The weather has a habit of being unpredictable at that time of the year.
This photo was taken on a short hike on the Canyon Overlook trail. A relatively short, easy hike that turned into a shaky one b/c of the risk of slipping on wet/icy rocks. And as with many trails in the park, there are very few railings, so it was treacherous. Hope everyone enjoys!

Hello Brad,
interesting photo, good composition. I like the snowy mood of the photo and the mixture of roots and trunks and rocks; the colours are very nice and are an integral part of the mood!
best greetings from Moscow,
Elena

Very nice colours and contrast. The roots look like from fairy tales. Very good composition. Only the railing should not be there. Well done!
