In affluent Georgetown on a beautiful sunny morning a guy shuffles pass the Vote, vote, vote poster with his beggign cup. Vote for change says Obama. I wonder how much this guys life will change under either new President?

The election seems to be dominting the news, even here in Britian. I like this shot. The colours are great. It gives us an interesting insight into the campaign in America.

He promised a lot and I hope for a change next tuesday,I hope for this guy and millions others too.
A good and very actual streetscene with this colorful propaganda placard.
Yes we can....lets see what will happen...???!!!???

A great composition with the association of Obama, and the hope he is bringing to so many people, together with this guy passing by.
Let's wait and see what happens next week... and in the future;-)

a great composition, perfect pov and timing! A quite actual subject, from all over the world we are looking with hope and fears to America... let's see what#s going to happen.

Je zit in de US..lucky you ;-)

Probably not that much. But I, for one, surely hope this guy wins it. There is no other alternative. Nice documentary shot, especially with the beggar in front of the ad.

good street scene and topical one.
the poster under the sign "commander" may be an omen : Obama'll be the commander in chief of the USA the next week (maybe, maybe...).
And most of all, the contrast between a man representing the power (the candidate) and a poor street man is interesting. Will the next president change the things in this country ?
To be continued...

Incredibly sharp, brightly coloured, and well timed to catch the humble looking bloke passing by. You show the contrast beautifully here. The 'Commander' sign is an ironic but somehow appropriate one. I love the bright sunlight and the strong shadows. Well done.

the framing is fine, and so is the timing, including the man, and in bonus i like the harmony of the blue colors hat-poster-wall, well matched :)

An interesting poster in an excellent setting. As for this Tuesday, all I feel assured of is that if Sarah Palin gets one heart attack away from the Oval office the world might see changes going beyond our worst night-mares.

A question for all the world wants O.
Not a New daily, nothing religious, nothing economically.
A purification, an open people have a desire to retrieve new feelings.
The game certainly is thinking of calling others.
They talk election polls.

Hi Elaine. its Nov4 th today and the world is watching if US is able to make a bold new statement! Lives may not change with new politicians...but the dreams that people have will!!

Very nice street scene with the poster of our president elect. What can we say, we have high expectation. Hope he can as we said, but the nation has to do it too. He is only a person after all. History has been made for the good. Hope this will give many black someone to look up to, and know that they too can reach the top, they are no longer the victoms of the past generations. We have come a long way, finally.

I wonder, too, fingers crossed anyway! Nice catch, the colours are great and the subject matter is very important!

yes, the would-be-commander-in-chief!
you got the eye to spot this, elaine. all the while i thought the man is on the mobile phone, him giving this capture the charm. Big O (or even if his opponent won) won't be able to clean up the mess left behind by the previous administration that fast. i look forward to positive changes ahead tho.
and yeah, i voted for him!
happy new year!
