Photographer’s Note
This intense scene of shadows and light is presented as shot in late afternoon. I was fortunate enough to be here in late afternoon to capture the waning light on this small pond.
Note: This shot is basically seen as it was. I decided not to raise the shadows and keep the images as is. white balance: daylight.

Hi Michael!!
Really you are fortunate enough...
You have captured it well...this tree is looking very bright and colorful because of this background...
Thanks for sharing..

Hi Michael
Great shot! Love the red of the tree and how it reflects in the water.

Hi Michael,
very nice shot, good reflection and colours, the left part of the shot in the BG looks a little grainy, and the contrast of light between that and the FG is a little high
but the shot represents the Autumn very well

Very good contrast and glad to hear you didn't vchange the image too much. All too often we see artificial technicolor versions of reality.

Hi, Michael -
I didn't think I would like this shot at first, because the leaves don't show nice fall colors, just dull browns. But very quickly it grew on me because of the amazing contrast of colored lights and very deep shadows; somehow you managed to capture both without losing either. (And I note that you did almost no PP either!) The sharpness of the division, coupled with the reflection in the water, is really extraordinary.
Best,
Dan
PS: This may be a record for me: I've never written 3 critiques in a row for the same person before!
