Photographer’s Note

Just an hour’s drive from Washington, D.C., Sky Meadows State Park in Clarke and Fauquier counties, offers a peaceful getaway on the eastern side of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With rolling pastures and woodlands, the park boasts beautiful vistas of the foothills and access to the Appalachian Trail. Its rich history is shaped by the development of agriculture and the impact of the Civil War. Activities include hiking, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, primitive camping, and nature and history programs (wikipedia).

Hello Danilo,

The seasonal colours are present all over the frame!
The calm water provides a fine mirror, adding to the pleasant atmosphere by the lakeside...
A fine composition with good details, excellent feeling of depth!

Hello Danilo, reflections on l' water add a great visual effect, symmetry reinforces the effect of attraction of the landscape, the green appears less natural without however being awkward, this park d' state of meadows the counties of Clarke and Fauquier does not miss a charm, within sight of your superb photograph, already 100 of passed, and with such stereotyping they close to is not stopped, sincerely .................Bonjour Danilo, Les reflets sur l'eau ajoutent un grand effet visuel, la symétrie renforce l’effet d’attraction du paysage, le vert paraît moins naturel sans toutefois être gênant,, ce parc d'état de prés les comtés de Clarke et de Fauquier ne manque pas de charme, au vu de ta superbe photo, déjà 100 de passée, et avec de tel clicher c’est pas près de s’arrêté, bien amicalement

fall is just a breath away as this scene can attest. i just can imagine how colorful this park is during autum- the vibrant greens turning into yellows, the counryside appeal of browns, the intimate oranges and, the poised and polite grays of the skies all seen in this vertical capture.

A good choice of vertical format for this landscape which has a good sense of depth. The grass in FG makes for a good starting point and leads nicely the eye to the lake and mountains at a distance. Light and colors are nice too!

A good opposition between the sharp textures in the FG, and the smooth ones in the BG. The vertical framing increases the depthe, nice soft colors too. Andalso a pleasant mirror effect on the water.
