Hiking in the spectacular Denali National Park.
This was taken just after sunrise, from a peak overlooking Sable Pass. The river in the centre is the East Toklat. Its glacial-fed waters run ice-cold and swift.
In Autumn at this latitude, the magical light at sunrise at sunset illuminates the landscape for what seems an age. Long enough to take a few photos, then just put away the camera for a while, sit quietly and take in nature's grandeur.

A fascinated hiker amid barren yet appealing mountains slopes.
A timely and charming capture.

yes, light and mountains are magic, but also the man with his equipment and his hat adds a lot to the spirit of adventure, could be also 200 years ago.

A great feeling of space here, Greg, thanks to the backpacker who creates a foreground. A nice composition (except I think the man's feet are a bit close to the bottom) and the rich color of the fall landscape comes out nicely. I do find the sky somewhat overexposed, which is surprising in the early light. But the overall effect is still nice, almost poetic in a way. Regards, Ken.

Very nice shot!
For me it looks like a cover of a fascinating book
