Photographer’s Note
I took this photo of what I believe are some sort of violets at the Bok Gardens in Lake Wales Florida. After the many hurricanes Florida has had this year, most of the beautiful flowers and many of the trees did not survive, although they are beginning the rebuilding process now. I was drawn to these flowers by their deep purple hue. I cropped and did some sharpening and level adjustments.

This is a nice colourful shot Paula, The flowers you have photographed are called pansy's in Australia (i presume they have the same name worldwide...) They come in a rainbow of colours from the blues, purples, pinks, whites and yellows through to black. Sorry to hear about the destruction of the hurricanes but these pansy's survived the ordeal ok. (the blue/purple ones are my favourite) :-)

This little wild violet is one of my favourite flowers! It grows wild on the west coast of Sweden, and your excellent picture gives me so many childhood memories.
