The picture that best sums up my experience in Denali National Park. It was another world, in which everything was grand and timeless.
This photo was taken just after sunrise, on one of the peaks overlooking Sable Pass and out to the Alaska Range. I think it was about 4,000ft high - about 2,000 feet above the plain below.
It's a scan of a pic taken in the days before I'd discovered the world of digital photography, so the quality isn't all that great. But it was such a beautiful moment I thought I'd share it anyway.

How has this gone undiscovered?
Beautiful shot... epic and majestic in its feel. Standard form tells me the subject could be less central, but I think maybe the power of his view is enough to let him hold that position.
Well done... wish I'd been there.
