Photographer’s Note

While visiting the Grand Canyon National Park, we noticed these yellow flowers were dotting the top of the canyon. I don't know what type of flowers these are, and would appreciate it if someone could tell me. The noteworthy thing about this plant was that it lived in high winds and very rocky soil. This flower earned my respect surviving in an inhospitable place where I would not last long at all.
