On Golden Pond Photo

Photographer’s Note

Because the surf is so high and the Atlantic Ocean is so cold at Reid State Park the state fashioned this small salt water pond so the children will have a safe and warm swimming hole. Just after I snapped this shot I was asked to leave because the park closes at dusk.

A very evocative sunset image. Good point of view that takes full advantage of the reflections cast by the clouds. Beautiful gold/blue tones.

Tom,
This is a very nice sunset shot. THe reflection is great providing nice depth and balance. The shot was taken a the perfect creating the golden glow and showing the sun disappearing behind the trees.

Amazing colours here and the reflection on the pond is great. Everythings create a peaceful atmosphere. For that kind of scene we must be quick because the scene changes after a minute. Well done!

Wonderful red and gold tones and the reflection is superb. I like the fact that you left some shoreline in at the bottom to add weight and to create a layered effect.

Hello Tom,

What an appropriate title!
The sky is amazingly beautiful with the deep oranges fading to grey/blue on the upper edges. This is perfectly reflected in the water with similar depths of colour.
