Photographer’s Note
Above Chester Falls
Chester Park
Duluth Mn.
Continuing along with my series from Chester Park .. this image is above the falls of my previous posts ..
We were back here the next day because we couldn't find Andrew's shoes ..and I thought well maybe they didn't make into the car after our previous days adventures .. and sure enough we pulled into the parking lot to find his shoes neatly set along the edge of the parking area.
from my last post:
Duluth has done a wonderful job of bringing the "North Woods" that surround the city into the city itself. The city sits on a steep hill above Lake Superior. The hill is riddled with streams, deep gullies and ravines draining down into the lake. The city has turned these ravines into a massive system of wilderness parks within the city itself ..

Hi John!
To answer your question, yes I?m fine and enjoy the summer here.
You found a great POV here to present us the falling water and I like the effect created by the long shutter time.Good sharpness overall and nice colors and contrast.

This is really a nice view, John.
Lovely perspective, your trademark colors and tones, and a skilful display of long shutter speed. Plenty enough, buddy.
You seem to truly enjoy your new surroundings, I'm happy for you!
Have a great day, I'll see you soon.
Hugs,
Fulvio.

It's good to see a view of the falls from the top, especially with the lovely slow shutter effect. It is fascinating to see how the big cylindrical rock on the left has been smoothed over the years from the fast flowing water.
What luck to find Andrew's shoes.

Hi John,
Sounds like you made a good choice for your new home; I always like it when a city protects and glorifies its natural assets.
You show these assest well with lovely contrast between the warmly golden stones and the cool silk of the water...a symphony for the eye.
