...."A Corral....Once"....

This series of images will all have been
taken along a narrow canyon road starting
2 miles south of my last series on "Fort
McPherson" and running for 12 miles.

This is Ranch - Cattle Countrry. The
compositions will provide you an insight
into that life style and this area of our
world.
****
This ...."A Corral....Once".... was
strategical built at the end of a canyon
running directly west behind the corral.
This allowed cowboys to bring the cattle
up the canyon into the corral with the least
stress on the cattle, the cowboy's horse and
the cowboy himself.

The corral opens on the canyon road for load
out at the old cattle chute. You can see the
old barb wire pasture fence in front of the
chute and before the road to keep cattle in
when the corral was not in use.
*****
I have placed a close view in the WorkShop
that shows the detail of the corral.
****
Thanks to everyone for looking in.

Hi,Larry,
So unusual to see such human places from The States. Skyscapers and WallStreet are so boring. I'm glad you are introducing us to nicer nooks in your huge country.

Larry,
Another very good image of the natural beauty of our great land and showing the lifestyle of the region. I enjoy the rich plantation and woodlands. nice golden warm light casting over the landscape. Good details overall, it could be a little bit sharper. and composition is fairly good, I suggest cropping the right a little to exclude the tree that is show halfway, it doesn't really contribute any vallue to this image visually. The tree on the left is great, it frame the image nicely. That just my preference. Thanks for sharing
I will post a workshop just show you what I think.

howdy larry.
it was worth the wait.

i can imagine the cowboys rounding them up and herding them in. i can hear the shouts and whistles.

it reminds of the song, ' the last cowboy song' by the highwaymen.

will look in every monday for the next instalment.

Hi Larry
A very nice shot of the old corral. The exposure is well handled. I'm not sure what was accomplished in the WS by Waylim. I fine the composition just fine. Yes it could stand a little sharpening but I also find that when there is a lot of detail present such as grasses and leaves it is difficult to sharpen at under 200KB.

Hi Larry

Hello Larry,
very nice, interesting picture and as always thank you for the learning effect.
Best regards
Thomas

Hello Larry,

The old wooden fence tells the story of former activity, the story of people finding a living in days gone by!
A simple composition, but why make it complex as simplicity works..?
Good point of view, effective framing!
