| Jerome, Arizona was once the fourth largest city in Arizona. It was a mining town at the turn of the 20th Century. Gold, silver, copper all were mined in the area. It virtually became a ghost town when the ore was exhausted, or too expensive to mine profitably. Today, it is a mecca for motorcycle riders, hippies, artists, and tourists. Small quaint shops and tiny eating establishments can be found throughout the town. It is in a beautiful high mountain setting of approximately 5,000 feet. It is only about a two hour drive from Phoenix, AZ |
