| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took this picture while traveling home one night. Night pictures and the movement of light hold my attention most times. This picture was taken along hwy 290 at about 2 am whilst driving around 65 miles per hour.
A few of my favorite photographers on here have inspired me to do a few things; firstly to only post pictures that I believe have merit and worth to be posted on here, and secondly to include a more detailed description of what I was seeing in the photo. I noticed that of all my photos, there have been some that I look at and wonder why.
This picture combines three elements that I strive for in pictures; the geometric alignment towards a focal point, a good contrast of a variety of colors, and a meaning in my life. Many times I see my life as going too fast to an unknown ending. This picture to me shows my fears as I head off alone into the darkness with blurred lights on each side of me as if to distract me, or to add something to my life.
Since moving to Houston with some good friends I have made it a hobby to find good pictures from my files, and from new pictures, and then frame them and present them to my friends as house gifts. This picture I had framed for a friend of mine from San Antonio. It is now held hostage until he comes to visit again. Some people do not understand why I do this, but to me it seems natural to want to share whatever I see with the people I call friends.
Thanks,
