Another pictures from this fabulous coast. This was taken late in the evening looking south. We were driving north which was made difficult by the low sun.

Fabulous!

Another wonderful picture of the Oregon coast, again with fantastic blues. I love the deep shadows in the sand and the little ripples in the sand, outlined by the low sun.

Just a thought - did you get down really low with that wide-angle lens on that beach? It's just waiting for a really low angle shot at small aperture and wide-angle so that those ripples in the sand close-up make a nice foreground to the distant sea and sky. I seem to remember one of your great shots from the south-east coast of Scotland like that - it had rocks in the foreground, I think.

P.S. Not sure if you've found this or not - I find that lens (probably because it's so wide) suffers very easily from flare if it gets a sniff of the sun. Perhaps I should buy a lens hood for it - do you have one?

didn't realise the coast of Oregon looked so good. I like the shadows from the low evening sun. Perfect photography time.
