Hi Hugh,
another very provocating shot! I love your note. At first I wondered about the title and the young girl with the belt but than I discovered the poor man in the background.
Our world is a peculiar place indeed!

Interesting moment Hugh - beautiful light contrasting strongly with that unflattering look you caught on the woman's face. The expressions faces make when they're unaware of being watched can be strange indeed!
Ah, just saw the guy in the background - now I get the title... Actually he does provide a good focal point for the image - still amongst all the movement on the street.

Cheers,
Ben

what i like about your photography is that you dare... you are always in the places and at the moments where a "normal mortal" would rather hide his/her camera deeply in the bag... and you - cold blooded shooter - you "fish out" those moments which will not happen again there where you are...
that's precious...

Street corners are the best for street photography so I'm told. The poor guy with the placard makes for a very poignant image - a sad reflection on modern society. I also like the character on the left - his face almost totally in shadow.

Nice work Hugh.

All the best, Roberto
