Photographer’s Note
Picture of the amazing Amoeba Records in Hollywood, one of the best records stores I've ever been in.
Born in 1990 in Berkeley, California, Amoeba Music is inspired by many of the great independent record stores. They stock everything -- from the most popular artists to the most obscure in all genres -- including jazz, international folk and popular music, roots music, classical music, all kinds of rock and soul music, just to name a few of the most obvious categories.
I took this picture from the DVD balcony. That day I picked up ILS, Athelete, a Mo' Wax compilation and a t-shirt.

You captured this store brilliantly. It was one of the first places I went upon arriving in LA for the first time.

you have done very well to capture this store so nicely. It is often crowded and chaotic and difficult to photo.
I agree, it is one of the best record stores...if not the best. The first time I ever went there I picked up Manu Chao's Clandestino album. Funny how I remember that so many years later.
Thanks for sharing such a nice image of such a memorable place.
