Beautiful spring afternoon along the Hoosick River in the tiny hamlet of Buskirk. This 150 year old covred bridge was completely rehabed in 2005. The purpose of the roof on the bridge is to keep the weight of winter snow off the wooden structure. This one has a 10 foot clearance (3.5 meters) and 12 ton weight limit.

Hi Tom
Beautiful scenery about this old bridge, really is historic scenery. The reflections are nice and very attractive. I've enjoyed the little wide flowers on the left with some lights on them. Good job. Best regards, Consuelo

Hi Tom
Beautiful bridge in Spring time and in best time for this lovely reflection
I have try couple time to make some reflection but alway failed...
Great Tom
Cheers

Now you're talking Tom, this is great!! The picture is good, all the elements are good in their own right and combined make a powerful image of something not seen every day and I dare say not even known to a large part of our own population. I think this is exactly what TE is about, I came to learn about the world, Machu Picchu to be specific but I ended up developing new knowlrdge of the US and a new love for our scenery.

Greg

Great shot of this very colorful historic covered bridge. I like the reflections and the colors are well saturated. TFs. Gerald

Hi Tom,
These old bridges are famous and very photogenic. Here the red version looks great in contrast to that blue sky and your pov with that sign in front is well choosen...i like it.

Hola Tom,
Bonita toma con una luz magnífica.
Una buena composición con estupendos reflejos y colores. Me gustan estos puentes de color rojo, son muy singulares.
Cordialmente
Charo

Hello Tom,
This is an attractive composition, where the subject is the natural eye-catcher!
The fine light renders rich colours, sharp fine details...
It is good to see you take well care of these unique constructions!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Tom,
Strikingly red bridge and it's reflection looks really good on sunshine and the traffic sign a very nice extra element. (Canadians and Europeans better not believe your feet conversion or they may hit on the roof. 10 feet is 3.05 m :))

Hi Tom
ce pont qui se mire dans l'eau de cette rivière, les couleurs sont clairs et nettes dans un paysage de toute beauté

hello Tom,
I really like the sky here, I've come to realise that such clear blue with wisps of white clouds is the best for any outdoor scenery. here it works particularly well to create a contrast with the saturated red of the birdge. smart composition too, I like a lot the triangle of grass in the foreground, that's a great way to create depth to the scene and provide a natural frame. cannot wait to start exploring the covered bridges this summer :)

with best regards,
Kristine

hello Tom,

Is this the sign that warns people of the height ... and some ignore?
What a wonderful reflection of the bridge in the still water! Have you noticed, it looks like a large mouth with thick, red lips!

Your composition, with the small triangle of grass in the l/h corner, balanced by the trees in the opposite corner, is excellent!
Colours are well saturated and natural.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

hi Tom

The sign showing 10 ft is taller than the coverd bridge from this pov and to show the limit of height clearance, and making this a good poster ad.

Nice reflection and clarity in this shot.

tfs, bill

Hi Tom,
these bridges look great especial in the middle of nice green environment and with the blue sky.
Everything is very good placed here and the reflections with the light blurred effect give a fantastic parallel. The colors and the lightness are superb.
Cheers
