This is called the Giant's Bathtub at Matthiessen State Park. I pointed the camera down more because there were people at the top of the falls. Most people seem to rush through these falls because you start to hear and see the 50 foot tall Lake Falls and go on to see that. I'll post that tomorrow maybe. This one creek has about 3 sets of very scenic waterfalls and this is the middle set of waterfalls. This area also has Starved Rock State Park on the Illinois River which has many more little canyons and waterfalls. Those pictures are coming up.

Excellent detail, light & clarity in this scene. The slow shutter speed has a pos. effect on the flowing water. Lovely natural looking colours especially the green of that slime. Well worth the stop.

Hi Kevin, sometimes the smaller falls, with the multiple steps are the most interesting, at least from a photographic point of view. Colour is good in this shot, it looks like you might be clipping just a bit with the higllights but for the most part your exposure is good. The 1/10 second gives good flow to the water.

This is in Illinois? I never thought of Illinois this way. It's very soothing to look at. Very nice!
