Photographer’s Note

This was taken at Matthiessen State Park near the more well-known Starved Rock State Park. The bridge near the top of the picture is where you arrive after coming straight down the steps near the entrance of the park. But then it's a 15 minute hike down to where I took this picture. This waterfall is called Cascade Falls and this view is from a small cave. There were people swimming around and even climbing the waterfall. In fact, I cloned-out a guy who was half-way up the waterfall. This area has tons of waterfalls and I'll be uploading more pictures soon.

hi Kevin, excellent shot, it is hard do a photo from dark place to shine side, but you did it well.

I love this kind of view. It's a bit unfortunate about those chain link gates at the top of the falls, but what can you do? What part of Illinois has waterfalls???
