"Long's Peak, CO"
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Once again, I went to the archives for one. This was shot for a developer. He had purchased this property, and the photo was used for advertising the development.
I scanned it from a 4x5 transparency on my Epson 2450 Photo scanner.
Longs Peak, formerly Long's Peak, is one of 54 of Colorado's 14-ers. These are mountains over 14,000 feet. Colorado has more than any other state in the U.S. Long's Peak is 14,259 feet (4,346 meters).
Longs Peak was named by Major Stephen Long. He explored the area in the 1820's. Longs Peak is the peak on the right in this photo. The one on the left is called Mount Meeker, and its just a little lower at 13,865 feet (4,240 meters).
100's of people climb this every summer, and is the only 14-er inside Rocky Mountain National Park.
I look forward to your comments.

Very peaceful scene. You cannot complain for more from nature. It is just a lullaby. Hope still the beauty will be maintained. Colour and matter are special.
Regards Vic.
Peter.
Hi Vic, first i'd like thank you for your nice words on my last photo.. and your peaceful image takes me there.. i like the daylight on the body of the tree.. well composed scene..
Congratulations,
ReLa
Splendid view and well thought composition.
I was going to remark that the foreground is a bit blurred when I realized it was a scan.
Incredibly warm and saturated colours: it seems a scene from a movie.
Greetings,
Donato
