This wetland in the Southern Illinois/Shawnee National Park area is an important refuge for wild life, especially many birds such as herons and egrets. I great egret can be seen between the two trees.
I took this picture while in a moving car so it's somewhat blurry. For some reason the only thing that isn't blurred is the egret. |
