Photographer’s Note
I am certain that this image will not win me any photography awards, but there is a somewhat interesting backstory. I grew up in a small, rural North Carolina town. The only major road in this town was US Highway 64. My hometown is approximately 45 miles from the eastern terminus of US Highway 64 at North Carolina's Outer Banks. I often looked at maps, and always dreamed of visiting US Highway 64's western terminus in Teec Nos Pos, Arizona. Well, in 2007, I did just that! I snapped this picture and framed it next to a picture of the highway's eastern terminus.

Greg, you are on the right track, the signs make for a chapter in what could be an interesting story. The shot is soft as far as focus goes but the composition is not bad. As with most things in life, this is not really the end of the roa but the start of another. where in NC, I spent a decade in Morehead City.
