Shot of what I think was a pier before. It was taken somewhere on the U.S. route 1. This is a place where people stop the car just to contemplate the sunset. I did the same and took the time for some shots.

Thank you for visiting.

tech note:
1) I didn't like the inclusion of the ramp on the left. I realized that in the post-production. Too late and too large for some clone stamp tool.
2) Don't ask me what's that weird horizontal line in the first third.

Congratulations and TFS.
Um abraço, Nivaldo

Carlos,

MCV

hi carlos
the colors are surely playing their heart out. supreb composition and sharpness. certainly a good place to enjoy the sunset...

Cheers Carlos for a stunning sunset shot. The silhouette of the ruin is just stunning on top of the melting gold surface. The small peninsula balances the shot well. Best regards. Jusni

Ola Carlos
A first rate panoramic capture and excellent presentation of this superb sunset.. Indeed, it is so much better to provide the expansive horizontal view here. The subdued light, with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a memorable shot and the ruins of the wooden pier create a great depth of field.Well done my friend.

Have a nice day,Danos

hi carlos
A fine composition making good use of the sunset and the magnificient reflections on the water.

best regards

hello Carlos
what a beautiful sunset! The light is really superb!I particularly like the blue part of the sky and the orange part reflecting in the water! They make a superb contrast with the dark clouds! The broken pier has a nice place in the frame!Congratulations!
Regards.
Pascale

Hi Carlos,
Light light light...wonderful. In a very natural way exposed, it beast every post-processing in tha matter. The glow on the left side is wonderful in the sky and on the water, perfect contrasting the darker right side.
I don't care about that ramp, but cloning it out is no problem at all.
Yes i ask you what that line is, because it looks very strange....only in this shot, or in all your pictures you have taken lately?
Regards, Henk

Hi carlos,

The elements of the image that bother you, don't bother mne at all. The ramp is fine - you should clone it out just as an experiment for your own interest though! As for the line, I assumed it was a wake from a boat, or a line of tiday current before I read your note.

Lovely warm light that gradually darkens across the frame, creating interest
Nice work

Hello Carlos,

It's a very beautiful picture with nice composition and colors.
The light is so beautiful and you had perfect captured it.
Cogratulation !

Hi Carlos,

Hahaha, first idea I got when looking at only the thumbnail was 'A flooding at Stonehenge?!'. :-)
I don't mind the ramp at all. It plays with our mind, giving the idea of a tilt in the otherwise perfectly straight photograph! And that line; Currents...

Greetings! Dennis

Oi, Carlos
Bonito trabalho. Um abraço, Consuelo

Olá Carlos,
those three elements on front are in my eyes a good addition for the wonderful water texture and light composition. The great "V" in the sky is wonderful framed by the soft darkness around with a lot of details visible. Superb exposure.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf
BTW: The line looks a bit strange because it seems to proceed on the poles, but they have one in a bit different height.

Ola Carlos,
An image with very atmospheric lightness and a great sky, as a composition, the simplicity is a nice plus for it.
Best wishes.

Olà Carlos
I like the combination of the warm colors with the deep blue of the sky giving a nice contrast, and the shiny reflections. Actually the ramp on the left side doesn't disturb and are, together with the silhouetted trees in BG, creating a V shape...
Cheers
Marilyn

Carlos,

Your exposure is so great, we can see details from all parts of the image.

Hej Carlos,
sorry for not giving you critics but I-ve been away for a week to portugal agian with some friends.

Sunsets are like pasta you never get fed up by them as long as they are not overdone. like especially the color of the water. the old fundament works well as a stromg graphical object in the comp.
Anders

Hi my friend,
peace and quite and a terrific sunset, with amazing tones in the sky and great depth added by the clouds. Ramp or not I like it a lot!
Take care,

Igor

Bom-dia Carlos,

sure enough your stopping by to catch a glimpse and capture a foto of this place was worthwhile! firey dazzling colors of a beautiful sunset. i don't mind about that ramp's inclusion as it depicts part of a ruin that is vital to the whole image!

Beleza, Carlos! Show de bola!

Oi Carlos,

The ruins are impressive here. But more impressive is the sky
That golden light is so strong and lovely

A razao?

amicalement
daniel

Hi Carlos,

I don't agree with you about the ramp. It really brings something to you compo... The couldy sunset is just great. The colors are a bit over-saturated IMO...

Cheers,

Loïc

Hello Carlos,
Awesome light, that plays so nicely in the clouds and reflects so well off the water!
Beautiful colour palette and sharp fine details in this well balanced composition!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Carlos
Firstly, the ramp doesn't bother me. It adds another graphic element to the foregournd, draws the eye to the other 2 elements and the base where it meets the water is nicely lit by the yellow rays. The sky is so dramatic.
Regards
Nikki

Hello Carlos!

This one is really fantastic! Absolutely amazing colors and very good framing. Made in right moment!

hi Carlos,
I actually LIKE the ramp on the left, for me it is essential for the "broken" composition. if anything, I'd try t get rid of the trees on the horizon on the left to emphasise the "waterworld" mood of US1. superb colours, nothing beats the combination of golden yellow and deep blue :) excellent work, my compliments.

with best regards,
Kristine

Carlos,
I'm really & truly & definitely amazed at your light management!
LIGHT... LIGHT AT ITS VERY BEST!
It doesn't get any better than this, buddy. AWESOME!
You have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Carlos,
On opening your gallery, my eyes were caught by the wonderful colours of this shot.
I don't know why you find the ramp disturbing.
I like its inclusion, combined with the other elements of your foreground.
It was worth stopping and taking a few minutes to do some photos!
Regards,
Marianne

Hola Carlos,
